Come, Look out my Window!

These are the views out my windows this morning. Here in Central Ohio, it's really coming down. The blanket of white is pretty; but........it's on top of the freezing rain we had last night; the freezing rain was after we had several inches of snow. So, it's really pretty nasty out there. Businesses and schools around town are closed. We're at a level II Snow Emergency. That translates to, you're not suppose to go out unless you absoltely have to. Sadly, my phone hasn't rung to tell me work's been canceled. Errrrrrrrrr.

Didn't leave work til 8pm last night, after not making quota; so I know today will be no better. My boss was home early. They, the administrative staff all left about 4pm, when it was starting to get bad; but not us. The phone crew left early, at least those that actually came in. You see (for some who don't know), I work doing food taste tests for market research. So, last night only a few testers came in and there were only a few of us there performing the test. Luckily, I live only 4.5 miles from where I work; but I was the ONLY one on the road last night as I drove home. It was slippery.

Pretty to look out the window at, but I quess I don't just get to admire it from afar.

Stay warm, stay safe all.

  1. Yes, pretty but dangerous. Stay safe and drive slow and carefully.

  2. Well, your weather is on it's way to Vermont. Worse of it is scheduled to arrive at about 4:00 p.m....just in time to drive home.

I saw your list on the right of things you want to learn....lol. I just taught sock knitting, class on cables starts tomorrow and I used to be a software instructor (for 8 years) and help desk support at one time....so come on over!!!

  3. We could be neighbors!
We got 10" here in Indiana. It's beautiful! I didn't even try to go to work today. The streets weren't cleared yet and there was no way my little car would have made it past the driveway.

    Stay warm and safe!

  5. The view out of your window looks pretty much identical to the view out my window today! We're getting the storm today here in CT. I'm fortunate that the library I work at is closed all day today. So I'm having a snow day at home today.

    Drive safely!

  7. I have to say that I am a little jealous. All I keep asking for is one snow day so I don't have to in to work. Every time it snows here, it is in the middle of rush hour home and that is NO FUN!! Say home and stay warm!

Here in Texas we got the ice without the snow. Made for treacherous driving conditions, without the perks of beautiful snow.

  9. Oh - you are making me homesick! ;( I remember those snowy days back home. It just not the same here in VA. (sigh) Have some snow cream for me!

Beautiful. On reading your title, I actually pictured myself being lead to a window to see this beautiful scenery.

    Sandy,

  17. What lovely photos. I love the way snow looks but loathe driving in it. In Scotland, we're expecting a covering tonight (probably not as much as you) and I'm dreading the forecast being right. My daughter's school never closes, however bad the weather, so tomorrow we'll be out in it regardless.

  18. Good morning. The pics of the snow are beautiful. I don't miss the snow from Indiana so I'll just enjoy your pics. The flowers should be blooming here soon. Hugs....
