Just Casted Off

Wow, almost wasn't going to make it today for Finished Object Friday. Late in the day to get this post up, but I literally just cast off this cotton washcloth. Been busy outside mowing, and watering and running errands. Nothing special just basic ribbing 3 x 3 with 4 rows at the start and finish with garter stitch and 4 garter stitches at the beginning and end of each row. It's still pulls in though. Though this was a big enough rib that wouldn't be a problem. Going to wet it down and see if cotton blocks? Love this color.

This is the 2nd cotton cloth from this colorway, and now it's gone. Posted last Friday about the first one. It makes it seem I've not been doing much knitting and crocheting; but I have been...just not getting anything done. Partially because other items are large items, and there's been some dreaded negative knitting going on.

  1. Pretty washcloth. You know, sometimes you just have to take a break from knitting and crocheting. Sounds like you have many other important things to do!

  3. Pretty washcloth, Sandy, and love the color you used!.. Busy, busy, I know how I am, so many projects going at once, or just one big one that takes time getting done, and then all the rest that life has got me doin' outside the world of crocheting and crafting. I just can't manage posting more than once a week it seems. THEN by the time I do, I can't find the TIME to post everything I've DONE!.. Oh well, as for the butterfly plant pokes, I use wooden skewers and just hot-glued them onto the butterfly. E6000 glue would work well too, I imagine. I think you can get the skewers (for kabobs, fondue, etc.) from any market, but I did get mine from Walmart, where I TRY to get all my grocery and craft shopping done all in one stop. If you make some crochet butterflies, I'd love to see them! I've done them before in pinks, and frankly I think they're addicting! I wouldn't mind doing more in shades of turquoise.... Have a great weekend! ((hugs)) ~tina
