I've just begun, set up a separate blog Here
Can you help?
With knitting, crocheting?
With checking out the blog, tell me if you can join? New to trying to set up a team type site.
Thanks
Sandy
email is sandycrochet@gmail.com
listed on previous post here, and on Bridge blog (can someone check to see if it's listed when you click on my profile?
I will help as I can Sandie but can't do anything until after this holiday, sorry. If that is not acceptable just let me know. You know how to reach me. I tried to post this to the other blog but only members can post comments. So you need to create it so that people can join not just follow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteLet Rae know that if she wants to, she could join our group and have her items talllied, or you could just take pictures of her stuff along with yours and we could count that way :)
It looks like you've set this up really pretty already. If you go to settings, you can determine how many people can join, etc. I think you can get there from the "dashboard" feature (this is where I find blogspot harder to use than livejournal).
You may also want to start a Ravelry group for this rather than using blogspot -- it might be a bit easier to control things over there. Not sure!
I'd also like to recommend that since the Homespun Helpers Yahoo page is moderated, maybe we could post this as our December 2008 drive? I could link to your blog here and what-not.
Let me know how I can help beyond making stuff.
Great job!
If the group goes to Ravelry you will have to count me out because I do not use it even though I am a member there. it is tooooooo big and not personal enough for my tastes. Thanks for your consideration in this.
ReplyDeleteHiya,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to alert you that I sent an invite to your gmail account -- I saw your post on the yahoo groups page...you can't just join up if you don't have a Yahoo account but I can invite you. If you'd rather use a different e-mail address just let me know and i can send an invite to that one. Then you can "leave" the group under your Yahoo e-mail.
I hope that helps.
Hi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteI sent you an invite to your gmail account in case you want to go by that name. You had mentioned that people wouldn't necessarily know you by your Yahoo name and you wanted to use a name people would more easily recognize. You can use non-Yahoo addresses if I invite you, so I thought you might want to use your gmail address for the group instead of your Yahoo. If not, you can just ignore the invite :)
It would not let me leave a message with my Google account
ReplyDeleteHmmm. It let me do it here but not there.
ReplyDeleteI think because Rav is such a large group it is a good idea to have it in both places. I am off to try again at Bridges.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a terrific idea. I like charity projects that are small and everything goes directly to real people. I will try to help as I can, but I seem to be resistant to deadlines right now. (I think it has to do with my mom's needs right now - my time just isn't my own right now.) Do you have a time frame for this project, or will it be ongoing? Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSandy, I'm looking for your e-mail addy and can't find it. Can you send it to me, please?
ReplyDeleteSandy, you asked about Fisher House. I got the information from a lady on Crochetville.

...but the Lion Brand site is also a good source of information for charity crocheting in general.
Oh, by the way I got the pattern for the flower out of a book, but it was something like this:

Great idea, going to check out the other blog now. It does show up under your profile.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for checking up on me. Not sick or injured--just so swamped with work that I haven't had time for blogging (reading or writing).
This sounds like a great project! Is it ongoing? I can help once my schedule settles down a bit.
I'm sorry to hear about all that's been going on. It's so hard when the parent/child roles are reversed, isn't it? I'm sending good thoughts your way.
