Valentines Day, Finished Project, AND Amazon Prime and Netflix

Happy Belated Happy Valentines to all.  I don't tend to do lots of decorating for the various holidays, but do like to have the dining room table festive.  I've had the placemats and napkins for a good number of years, but thought this year I needed something in the middle of the table and found these cute little hearts at CVS.
Do you decorate for the holidays?  Did you celebrate the holiday?  We went to dinner Sat night (not Friday the 14th), using a gift card our darling daughter got us for Christmas.  Meal was excellent.

Coffee Latte Afghan is now done!  Yippee, another project completed.  This ghan has 206 stitches per row.  I considered counting the rows to determine how stitches there were but didn't.  Let's just say ALOT!  Coffee Latte is here drying after being laundered.  Smoothed it out, no real blocking was necessary.  It's being donated to Bridge and Beyond (my charity that benefits the homeless).

Still working on jewel tone scarf (scroll to previous post), and potato chip scarf, (2 posts ago), but not enough difference to take another photo to share with you.

Not that I think there's anything funny about our current hot mess in White House; but this did at least make me smile.  I do love my glasses!

I've tried to watch Monarch of the Glen, but haven't found it on Amazon Prime or Netflix, even though a google search says it's available.
I watched Season One of My Mother and Other Strangers, which I LOVED!
But, it ends with a real cliff hanger, and it's not clear if there will ever be a season 2.  OMG!
Hated where it ended in season 1.  I stayed up late to watch, as I couldn't force myself to go to bed.

I watched Season 1 of Virgin River, which also ended up in a bad spot cliff hanger.  Geesh, when will season 2 be out?  I hate getting involved in one of these series and then having to wait for the next season.

AND I watched Aristocrats
I would recommend all these though Aristocrats would be at the bottom of the list.  This list is over the last month or so.  Have you seen them?  What did you think?

  1. haha sure the best kind of glasses needed for the hot mess in the white house indeed. Finishing projects and finding shows you enjoy is a win too. Gotta hate cliffhangers though.

  3. I don't decorate the house for anything other than Christmas. Your afghan has turned out lovely and I'm sure it will be very appreciated by those in need. I haven't seen any of those programmes but I'm just about to join Amazon Prime as I see This Is Us is being shown, I love that programme.

  4. I have my seasonal decorations and I enjoy changing these over (my favourite is changing Winter to Spring!).
The way things are going for us all, we definitely need those glasses!
I think I saw Aristocrats but I can't remember much about it.
I am sure your afghan will be really appreciated.
    Best wishes
    Ellie

    1. I hear ya on changing winter to spring, think we're all really ready for that, and the glasses to muster up the courage to see what the big orange baby has done that day. Hard to keep up.

  5. Hi Sandy: I do put out a few items, not like I did when we were younger, your table is lovely.
The afghan is very pretty, what a sweet idea to donate it.
I have not seen any of these flicks, I mostly watch history and geography and animal planet channels.
I hope you have a wonderful week.

    1. Thanks for the visit and kind words, much appreciated. I like history and many of the shows I watch are historical in nature. WWII time period is probably my favorite and so anxious for My Mother and other Strangers to decide if it's coming out with more.

  6. I watched Virgin River and enjoyed it but I feel the same way about cliff hangers. In fact I have tended to watch only shows with multiple seasons already shot if they are available. If they have 4 or 5 seasons it must be pretty good and I have a lot of watching ahead.

    1. Generally I do the same, on the multiple series, plus I like watching without lots of time between. But, I didn't realize these weren't on going and was not happy when I hit the end.

  7. Hey Sandy, we were out of town and last week was just crazy busy. I hope tonight to go read blogs and even write a post. We will see if that gets done. I do decorate my kitchen table with holidays if that counts for seasonal decorating. I have lots and lots of different color cloth napkins and candles and currently it is pink. Tomorrow it will go green for St. Patrick's Day.
The afghan is gorgeous. I do love the colors.
