The different light in the room makes the colors look a bit different. We decided we really needed to upgrade from a queen to a King. Seems we always sleep better away from home when traveling and generally...we have a King when we travel. The previous room was Red and Gold, we're more muted now with gray and tan. The walls are an a shade of off white that is almost a pale gray, carpet is tan and the drapes are a lighter shade of the tan. The room is small and so we've opted for the bed in the corner to free up a little floor space.
Here's a little different look before I put up the tiebacks. Again the light here is a bit different than above. We both feel like we're sleeping better which is nice. It's not a traditional style mattress, it's foam and therefore we don't feel each other getting up and turning over. Highly recommend you look into this if you're in the market for a new mattress or bed.
Lucky you! We wouldn't be able to fit a king in our bedroom, wrong shape. Enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks really nice Sandy!
ReplyDeleteOur king makes the room pretty tight hakucho. If we gain weight we may not have room between bed and walls...lol, but for now.....we're good.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan
I hope you're enjoying your "new" bedroom! It looks tranquil!
ReplyDeleteYou know it is Sus, that's a good word to describe it. Tranquil
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I'm so happy for you! We slept in a king sized bed once & hated it. We have a full size bed & we're content with that. I love the colors of you room. Great job. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDeb, I don't either of us would get a wink in a regular size, we had a queen for years. By the time I elevate my knees with an extra pillow (due to a bad back), and he get's a pillow on his side (due to osteoarthritis), we really need the space.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THE NEW LOOK OF YOUR ROOM. THE COLORS ARE SO PRETTY, AND WARM. I LIKE THE TIEBACKS ON THE CURTAINS, VERY NICE.

Hiya Friend,
ReplyDeleteYour room is lovely, I like the soft muted colors..I would love to have a king size...but in our little 50's bungalow...it would be a tight fit...foam you say? My husband is a flopper, and if we had a waterbed, I'd been flung out the porthole long ago. We'll look into the foam. Our spring flowers have sprung, finally here in NE Ohio, in fact I picked a few hyacinths this morning...they have a glorious scent..one of my faves...I like your Friday night dinner menu...kicking back, pizza and beverages....good...:)
