My attempt at being artsy, lol I know, I'm really no good at it with regard to photo's, but just the same you can see my pretty red purple Petunia's. In the evenings they smell so nice. Beside it is a yarn bowl, my first ever. Hard to see perhaps, but there's a project inside it, click to see
Or scroll here. Love this yarn, It's Mochi Plus Crystal Palace and makes such nice soft scarves.
You can see holes in the yarn bowl for the needles, and here's the slot for your yarn to come out. The bowl is hand made, nice heavy pottery that will stay put and your yarn rolls around neatly inside, helps you not get tangled and helps with your tension.
Purchased this recent in Yellow Springs, Ohio a cool funky artsy town I highly recommend. It was a girls outing. weblink here

So, as part of my Friday, Celebrate the small Things. I'm celebrating obtaining my bowl, and celebrating out fun girls outing!
I had no idea there as such a thing as a yarn bowl - it looks so clever and practical. Your pansies are lovely, and they almost match the color of the knitting! Have a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying using the yarn bowl, and would never have guessed how useful it is. Right you are Lexa, my petunias are about the same color as my knitting, didn't even think of that.
DeleteSuch pretty flowers!! I do like your yarn bowl ;)

Thankyou Betty
DeleteThat's a neat bowl! And pretty next to the flower. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you T. Drecker, appreciate the visit.
Deleteomgggggg that yarn bowl is SO cute! I had no idea such a thing existed!!
ReplyDeleteI only saw a yarn bowl for the first time a first months back and at first thought it weird....but it's soooooooo helpful!
DeleteI have seen yarn bowls but don't have one. I use wine bottle bags. The one I have has four spaces for bottles or skeins of yarn. Great when making something with multiple colors.
ReplyDeleteI can see the multiple pouches being helpful, might give that a try with a project I'm working on with colorworks, but does it stay put...weight wise?
DeleteIt's the small things that make life worthwhile :-) Love your yarn bowl!
ReplyDeleteRight you are Kate, the small things. Thanks for the visit.
DeleteHi Sandy, thank you for stopping over. I've not much to blog about these days, and so I confine myself to viewing, and I don't do that very much either. Looking for work, and purging to Goodwill these days. I like the bowl, wish I could think of clever things like that. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the mix of colors in your knitting project. Very nice, and those flowers are so vibrant.
ReplyDeleteBe well, Sandy. Have a good week.
I love how your fingernails match the yarn. =) When it comes to decorating, I'm not that great either. That's why I have my hubby, who is pretty awesome with that kind of stuff.
