...I was a girl scout...for a minute. Imagine that!

I LOVE girl scout cookies...especially the ones with the carmel and coconut on top. Luckily, I didn't see one girl scout this year. MY TWIN GRANDDAUGHTERS MATTIE AND MAKAYL...HI SANDY,
MY TWIN GRANDDAUGHTERS MATTIE AND MAKAYLA ARE BROWNIES. MY DAUGHTER JACKIE, THEIR MOM, DECIDED TO HELP WITH THE COOKIES'S THIS YEAR. ALL THE COOKIES THAT EACH BROWNIE WANTED TO SELL WERE ORDERED AND AFTER 12 GIRLS PUT IN THEIR ORDERS JACKIE HAD TO PICK UP ALL THE COOKIES, AND BRING THEM HOME. WE WERE WALL TO WALL COOKIES. SOME PARENTS BOUGHT THEM BY THE CASE, WELL TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, ALL THE COOKIES WERE PICKED UP BY EACH BROWNIE, AND SOLD, AND THE MONEY WAS COUNTED AND IT ALL PROVED OUT. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT NEXT YEAR. HA HA!!!! I LOVE THE LEMONADE COOKIES, THEY ARE A SHORTBREAD, AND THEY ARE GOOD WITH A HOT CUP OF TEA. OUT HERE IN NJ A BOX OF COOKIES COST $3.50, I REMEMBER WHEN THEY WERE 50 CENTS A BOX AND THEY TASTED BETTER. WELL, TAKE CARE, RIZZIRizzihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14406039702833796261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21367476.post-86775458035534593362010-03-21T12:36:25.360-04:002010-03-21T12:36:25.360-04:00Like you Sandie, if a child comes to the door (and...Like you Sandie, if a child comes to the door (and it doesn't happen often) I do look and generally get something for their efforts. Sad isn't it, that it's not as safe as before.

2cats, sorry I didn't see the lemon somethings, I love lemon stuff. They must be new?

Brenda sent you email, hope you get it. But I got lucky and saw them outside of a Wal Mart. I bought 4 boxes. Two thin mint, 1 lemon something, and one peanut butter something. I don't know about the other cookies but the thin mints a divine.2catshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10422139409011064601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21367476.post-34783800566279817792010-03-20T21:51:56.317-04:002010-03-20T21:51:56.317-04:00I was not a Girl Scout, but my daughter was. I think part of the reason parents help out now in this regard is because it is no longer safe for kids to walk the streets trying to sell cookies. At one time, it was. I was never that concerned with contests, though if a kid comes to my door selling I will at least look at what he has. Generally, it's a relative.Sandiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07918226520158027517noreply@blogger.com
