I, too, have put on weight & have I cholesterol & due to bunion surgery that rendered me unable to gain my balance..... haven't been able to walk like I used to. I have been taking Krill Oil capsules 1000 units once a day. I don't know if it's lowered my cholesterol or not, but it's helped my osteoarthritis tremendously. SAS shoes are terrific too.

Again....welcome back. You've been missed.Debhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05763567848465017941noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21367476.post-12324107065331258082014-03-31T14:44:56.868-04:002014-03-31T14:44:56.868-04:00Hi Sandy,

Glad to learn about your shoes socks and pedometer app. I've wondered about those pedometer apps, so I'll have to try yours. Sounds like a good one. I've had problems with plantar faciitus (sp?) for about 5 years....walking, running, tread mills, just about everything was impossible to do. Heck, I needed my sons to help me walk down the isle of my daughter's wedding 3 years ago. The weight just kept coming on, nothing much to do about it out here in the country. This past few months, I finally got the inflammation under control, and I'm walking pain-free again...It's W O N D E R F U L!!!! Since then, I started walking again, and dropped 10 pounds just walking a mile a day. Then the snows came, and the walking stopped, but now that good weather is here, I'm at it again. Hope to get back up to 2.5 miles 2x a day.

Like you said, a great pair of shoes really helps more than many people know. I suffered way too long until I found a couple of doctors and a good shoe store to help me heal myself. Since I lived on the eastside of town, my podiatrist sent me to Footworks in Pickerington. They are a treasure-trove of knowledge, and put me into a pair of properly fitted (I had been wearing 1.5 sizes too small) and supported athletic shoes and are generous with their advice on helping heal foot problems. Between my shoes, and an athletic trainer's advice on exercises and icing methods, I'm finally walking again. I'll have to add your other two blogs to my reader, Sandy, so I can keep up to day with you. Take care.Karen https://www.blogger.com/profile/04327413900995383120noreply@blogger.com
