Sunday

Well, it's Sunday again. The first day of the week, though it always seems like the last day of the week to me.

YOP...not much going on there. I did finish my cable scarf, photo HERE. Fairly pleased with that, but don't think I'm yet ready to begin the cable skirt I want to make myself.

Feather and Fan Afghan, Sea and Sand is in slow motion. Or at least it seems that way to me. I don't feel like I'm making the headway I was there for awhile. Thinking, I need to start something else to get a fresh start and come back to it with more energy! We'll see.

No new pictures, the couple of rows completed since you saw the last piece....just not worth it, you wouldn't be able to tell any difference.

Been busy spinning to help earn points to convert to amazon gift cards in order to be able to purchase school text books for kids without. Read about it Here.

Thrilled to report Bridge and Beyond is listed in a recently published book, "Crochet Saved my Life".

Hard to believe we're in the month of August already, where does time go? YOP badge and link in sidebar. Join Us.

oh wow, you did a cable! It looks good too, well done!

I know what you mean about projects that never seem to grow, I think it's a sign that you should start something else then come back to it, as you said :)

  2. Love your cable scarf, looks great!

I know exactly what you mean about slow progress, I said exactly th same this week....I was looking at a blog and the person had a new blanket ta-dah and it made me think I need some of that in my life, something that grows super quick to please my less patient side!

That's great about the mention of bridge and beyond in that book, it's such an excellent cause!

  4. The scarf turned out great, I definitely think that you are ready to tackle the skirt (please, please make one, it would be so cool!). Perhaps it would be a good idea to put the afghan on hold, although I'm excited to see it as a FO.

  5. Seems to me I hit a wall with pretty much every blanket and shawl project somewhere around the halfway point. Maybe try scheduling a couple of rows a day and then mix it up with something else?

  8. I fully understand slow progress. But, it is better than no progress at all. I know this for a fact.
Good luck. I'm sure it will all come together soon.

  12. Glad that your Charity is getting the promotion it deserves from other people. Keep up the good work!

Don't worry about not progressing, I haven't much lately either. I wanted to finish a certain project first before carrying on with anything else. Because I wasn't enjoying it I knew I would stop completely if I worked on something nicer at the same time. There was no option but to finish because it was for someone else. All but done now. Should complete it this evening.

it's hard to plug on sometimes when you get the pattern down. I go through this everytime I'm up against a deadline. I'd recommend a rewards system to get you through. I used chocolate for mine, but then that led to irresponsible acts of yoga.
