Butterflies

butterfly cross stitch
Long ago, I enjoyed cross stitching. I didn't photograph many of my projects; but found this one to share with you. My older brother had a wonderful butterfly collection when we were kids growing up. I made this for him years ago for Christmas. Technically, I think this is a month instead of a butterfly. I'll have to have him look at it and tell me. Just thought I'd share this with you, as a way to make us think of warmer weather.

  1. I remember! I wonder where it is right now. I'll bet we packed it away in the cedar chest when we moved! I love it!

VERY NICE BUTTERFLY. I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD, I COLLECTED BUTTERFLIES. IT ONLY LASTED ONE SUMMER. I DID SOME CROSS STITCHING YEARS AGO, MY HANDS TODAY ARE FILLED WITH ARTHRITICE, SO NEEDLE WORK IS OUT. TAKE CARE, RIZZI

  6. Cross stitching brings back some memories! I used to do that, too. I still have a couple of pieces that I actually finished framed and hanging on a wall. Now, I can barely find time to knit and crochet. Your butterfly is lovely.

  7. Very pretty, what is it about the "futterbly"
so frilly, colorful and free. They are an amazing creating on God's Green earth, I like to go to "futterbly" exhibit at the zoo here in Cleveland, awesome colors and they fly around as you wander thru their world...

  9. I have done a small amount of cross-stitch. My daughter is more into that. Your moth is beautiful. I don't have pics of some early projects either. Doubt I'd have the place to put them all! LOL
